BBC Radio Lincolnshire and Radio Humberside interviewed Chris Flanagan, developer of My Mablethorpe today about the intriguing mystery surrounding Kevin Rudd, Prime Minister of Australia and his interest in Mablethorpe. As well as the feature on Rod Whiting's Breakfast Show, the story featured in the hourly news bulletins for much of the day. The story also featured here in the Louth Leader (online edition) and has now effectively gone international with a full page article in The Times Online

The article quotes a spokesperson for Mr Rudd: "He is not planning a holiday to Mablethorpe. In fact, until Twitter inadvertently connected the Australian leader and the British coastal community, there was no connection. My Mablethorpe comments: "Mr Rudd became a follower in mid-August. My Mablethorpe started following his tweets a few days later. Twitter does not do things inadvertently. So far all responses have come from Kevin Rudd's spokesman. Mablethorpe folk reciprocate the warm regards to Mr Rudd and would really love to hear what the PM himself has to say.
