Rovers Return were victorious in a gloriously sunny day of organised mayhem and fun at Mabo KO (Mablethorpe's very own It's A Knockout). Photos are now in the Gallery. Seven teams from local businesses and organisations re-kindled the spirit of the hit TV show, which ran from 1966 to 1982 and again from 1999 to 2001. Although the rivalry was friendly, the grit and determination on the faces of the competitors showed as they rolled through bubbles, leaped over obstacles, jumped through hoops and donned crazy costumes.
BBC Radio Lincolnshire and Radio Humberside interviewed Chris Flanagan, developer of My Mablethorpe today about the intriguing mystery surrounding Kevin Rudd, Prime Minister of Australia and his interest in Mablethorpe. As well as the feature on Rod Whiting's Breakfast Show, the story featured in the hourly news bulletins for much of the day.
In mid-August the Australian Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, became the very first follower of My Mablethorpe on Twitter - www.twitter.com/mymablethorpe. This set us wondering why an international world leader had an interest in Mablethorpe. My Mablethorpe set about trying to find out and the possibilities are intriguing ......
A new weather forecasting service has been launched exclusively for the areas of Mablethorpe and Sutton-On-Sea by a local businessman. The service definitely looks on the bright side and forecasts some very pleasant weather for the resorts. Guest presenters include many well-known local personalities.
Owner of Sharky's Bar, Richard Borthwick. Richard plans to broadcast the weather reports on his new weather reporting channel called RBBC on youtube.com. My Mablethorpe will also feature some - especially the sunny ones!

East Lindsey District Council have appointed a team of consultants to identify areas of improvement and regeneration for the town. Ideas under consideration include a new pier and pavillion, refurbishment of beach chalets, new lighting and general rejuvenation of public spaces.
