Trusthorpe Panto - Great Part Available
Wednesday, 19 October 2011 14:35

If you are aged 13+ and would like to get involved with some other young people from the Mablethorpe, Trusthorpe and Sutton-on-Sea area in the 2012 panto, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, a great part is available! We're looking for someone who:

  • Is reliable and can attend rehearsals on Wednesday evenings (+ Fridays from January 2012)
  • Has a good sense of humour
  • Is outgoing and sociable
  • Fancies being part of a great on-stage double act and part of a friendly team

The part is that of Less, one half of a double act of 2 Captain's Guardsmen, who serve the wicked Queen for payment in medals.  They get up to all sorts of antics as they are charged with making Snow White 'disappear' and try to cover their tracks.

For further details, contact the Director, Chris Flanagan on 01507 472146 or 07846 800315 asap.

STOP PRESS: THE PART IS NOW FILLED!

If you would like to see the show, make a note in your diary to keep an evening free during week beginning 13th February 2012.  Details of ticket availability will be published on My Mablethorpe in the New Year.

Mablethorpe Beach Chalets Destroyed By Fire
Sunday, 16 October 2011 11:49

Several beach chalets were completely destroyed on Mablethorpe Promenade overlooking Queens Park.  The indicent occurred in the early hours of October 16th.  The chalets, belonging to East Linsdey District Council are some of the most popular chalets hired by visitors to Mablethorpe in the summer months.

The attack comes just a couple of weeks after one of the prestigious Bathing Beauties beach huts, known as 'Gazing and Canoodling, was also damaged by fire, just a couple of hundred metres away.  An attempt was also made to enter the nearly beach front cafe.  Scenes of Crime officers were in attendance during the morning taking prints and other evidence from the scene.
