I am disgusted with the announcement that the H.S.B.C. Bank in Mablethorpe is to close next year. Not everyone Banks online and it is always so busy with customers wanting change, using the cash withdrawral machines etc. What do you all think?

Thats the second bank to go now- i was with the halifax and i'm still in mourning over it
i'm stuck with a trip to louth now or use the post office arrangement that halifax cobbled together and i don't find it particularly of use. It a matter of days after deposit in the P.O. before it gets in to your account and only once it's in the account does the process for cheque clearance begin. As a small buisness it is of no use to me As my paintings i do from photos, a lot of people prefer to pay by cheque. and as i do not start work on the painting until cheque clearance this puts extra days on starting to completion.
I was thinking of changing bank to the HSBC. guess i'm going to have to think again.
do the banks know something we don't. We don't have many services here as it is we can't afford to lose any more.

hsbc is well and trully closed. if the tesco does happen, it would be nice if tesco would open it as a tesco cash exchange and maybe a gold purchase outlet as in some of their larger branches.

We re missing the \Bank and the Cash Points already, what a stupid decision to close it. We will have to wait and see if Tesco goes ahead, who knows, but we need something for our transactions.
