OK. Don't ask me why but this was running though my mind whilst I was pounding the roads around Princeton, MN this morning.
The good old British corner shop. Almost gone for good now.
I was trying to remember the corner shops I knew as a kid growing up in Mablethorpe.
The one I remember most is Milly Parrots at the top of Grosvenor Road on the High Street that was my local one. Then there was what we all new as the "School Shop" by the primary school.
There was one on George Street and Parry Road I think.
Seaholme Road and Marian Avenue, close to the Tennyson school.
Was there one on George Street and King Street corner too?
At the moment I'm pushed to remember any more even looking at a street map.
I'm sure there were others

Off the top of my head 'The School Shop' next to the Primary is still there (or 'Rogers' after its owner for at least 30 years). That one near Tennyson is still there too... I think it's changed hands a few times.
