Meant to post this a while ago but forgot.
It seems like Lincolnshire County Council wants to pull the financing for "Visit Lincolnshire" the counties tourist organisation. That seems like folly to me with the Olympics coming up the world's attention will be on England. Tourism authorities should be all over that offering folks things to do when they get bored with the shot putt or the synschonised swimming...
If Lincolnshire doesn't have a body to promote tourism as a result of this decision then they are letting a good thing go to waste and lincolnshire and MAblethorpe could slide into obscurity.
Living out of the country I get a lot of fun information from Visit Lincolnshire on Twitter I would be sad to see it go
